About the app

Cleer Money is an Australian iOS app for money awareness. It connects to your bank through the Consumer Data Right (Open Banking) and sorts each transaction into a want or a need, so you can see where your money actually goes. It is a budget-free alternative to budgeting apps and spreadsheets.
No. There are no budgets, no categories to maintain and no spending limits. Cleer Money is built for people who find budgeting tedious and just want to understand where their money goes. If you want to see the difference, read about the want or need method.
It imports your transactions automatically, then you swipe each one as a want or a need. Over time it learns your merchant preferences with Smart Rules, so sorting gets faster. Insights then show your want and need split, weekly patterns and top merchants.
People who want spending clarity without the overhead of budgeting, including anyone who has tried budgeting apps and given up. If plans and spreadsheets keep falling apart for you, Cleer Money is built for you.
